The Dillon House (404 SW 9th) is decorated by Porterfield's Flowers for the holidays - and it is a sight to see! We will host an open house free to the public to see this breathtaking sight. Norsemen Brewing Company (830 N Kansas): Join us for this one night art show on the top level of Norsemen Brewing Company in the heart of the NOTO Arts District. We are hosting Artist Oshara Meesha this month. Oshara works with a variety of mediums and creates her art with a focus on mind, body, and spirit. 5-10p.

Topeka Art Guild & Gallery (5331 SW 22nd Place - Fairlawn Plaza Mall): The Topeka Art Guild celebrates Kansas Art by Kansas artists through the month of November. This exhibit was juried by Mario Montecinos. Winners are Lila Bartel with Amazing Grace, watercolor, first place; Deborah Hanes-Nelson with Living Water, watercolor, second place; Kathleen Cobb, A Day Near Manhattan, oil, third place. Artists receiving honorable mentions are Naomi Cashman, watercolor; Connie English, watercolor; Bernadette Robbins, clay; David Schock, watercolor. Creations of Hope Gallery (909 N Kansas) presents My Life: My Voice which is an exhibit by Linda Kramer currently on display at the Creations of Hope gallery. Linda states her exhibit is retrospective of art that is “my visual voice leading to the recognition and articulation of thoughts and feelings.” Through her art, Linda shares her story of healing from loss and trauma. My Life: My Voice will be on display through November. The Creations of Hope Gallery is a collaboration of artists with the shared mission of raising awareness of mental health. Glaciers Edge Winery (1636 SE 85th St - Wakarusa): Tanks-For-Giving begins First Friday at The Winery! We will have the tasting porch, fireplace and patio ready for you to spend your November First Friday Art Walk at the winery. Beauchamp's Gallery (3113 SW Huntoon - Westboro Mart) new exhibit Flora & Fauna will be on display featuring the paintings of Matthew Richter and Susan Rose. Matthew is known for his studied depictions of plant life in the prairie. Susan, who also paints prairie imagery, is known for paintings that also include animals of the prairie. Meet both artists at a reception held in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk. Additionally, the annual "Plaza Glow" holiday kick-off will be happening at the Westboro Mart. There will be carriage rides, carolers, dancers, food trucks, and even Santa will be on hand. Its a great family event to start the holiday season. 5:30-8:30p.

Leaping Llamas Artisan Shop (725 S Kansas): Join us as we showcase Art from the Heart, a program through TARC. Art from the Heart is offered twice a week and taught by an instructor from Washburn University/Mulvane Art. We use multi-media to create beautiful artwork and big mac switches to make sure that every person has the opportunity to participate and express themselves through art. All adaptive equipment is operated by a big mac switch. We use a variety of media including: paint, photography and mixed media arts. 11a-8p.

Prairie Glass Studio (110 SE 8th - Garden Level): Join us at our fused glass shop on 8th street where beautiful, handcrafted jewelry, ornaments, dishes and more fill the studio. This First Friday is dedicated to CASA, an organization near and dear to Kymm's heart. 50% of all sales go to CASA. Come in any time between 10 and 8 and if you see something you love, we'll wrap it up and put our PGS touch on it. We think you will love all the 'prettys' on display. We're getting all holiday'd up. Rita Blitt Gallery & Sculpture Garden at the Mulvane Art Museum (1700 SW Jewell - WU Campus): We have BIG NEWS! It's the grand opening of the Rita Blitt Gallery & Sculpture Garden. Washburn University celebrates the legacy of award-winning artist Rita Blitt as the Mulvane Art Museum unveils the Rita Blitt Gallery & Sculpture Garden. Amused Gallery & Gifts (907 N Kansas): We are hosting the 2018 Character of Topeka Image Contest finalists! Stop in and vote for the images that will be included in this wonderful calendar campaign.
