NexLynx Gallery (123 SW 6th, 2nd Floor): Our opening reception features photographer, Charles Benton. Most of Charles' photos have some aspect of nature as their subject. Consisting of images taken from his travels to Great Britain, Iceland, near his home, right outside his front door, and from every season. He hopes for people to see his love of creation and perhaps be moved to look at the world around them with a new eye. SouthWind Art Gallery (3074 SW 29th): What's better than a gallery filled with 50 of SouthWind's favorite artists? How about also celebrating the original three! "Reunion," our newest exhibit at SouthWind Art Gallery, features artists Kim Casebeer, Cally Krallman, and Brian Slawson. When the gallery made its debut two decades ago, the three artists began our tradition of fine art in Northeast Kansas. Now they're joining us again alongside special exhibit "All the Best." Topeka Art Guild & Gallery (5331 SW 22nd Place - Fairlawn Plaza Mall): Topeka Art Guild displays 2D and 3D artworks by our community of local artists in a variety of styles. Art is an individual expression of both artist and buyer, giving the buyer an opportunity to express their view of the world and its culture. Artist of the month is John Riordan. The guild will show art by Highland Park in March. As a community service the guild offers annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors who seek to further their art studies, applications due April 13. Regular hours, Wed-Sat, 11a-5p. Creations of Hope Gallery (727 S Kansas): Join the Creations of Hope Gallery in celebrating the work of Connie English.  Connie is a perpetual student of art.  She has shown her watercolors in every state of the United States and is a artist for NARSAD based in California.   She has shown in  New York City at the Twin Towers, The AT&T building on Broadway Street, and the John McInroe Gallery.   Connie claims God's influence as her catalyst for painting. Matryoshka Tattoo (918 N Kansas): Our featured artists for the month of March will be students from Topeka High School!  Stop by to see what these creative upcoming local artists are creating in class and in their own time. Ceramic, digital photography, drawing, jewelry, & painting students will all have work on display. Alice C. Sabatini Gallery (1515 SW 10th - Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library): This is the last week for exhibits "The 4 Elements" and "Youth Art Month" at the Sabatini Gallery. "The 4 Elements" is an journey of four women artists who explore the topic of the environment and our relationship to the natural world. Each artist's work represents one of the four elements and uses a different medium. "Youth Art Month" highlights the amazing depth of artistic talent found in our schools throughout the state of Kansas. FFAW hours are 9a-9p.

Glaciers Edge Winery (1636 SE 85th Street): Begin March at the Winery! Our featured live entertainment will be acoustic artist, Patric Hamilton & Lago Vista Grill will have food for sale. Stephen Smith Gallery (931 S Kansas): Featured Artist: Philip Hershberger - encaustic on panel. Encaustic painting is an ancient but always somewhat obscure painting medium. The process uses fluid beeswax infused with damar varnish and pigmented color, allowing only a few seconds to work with the application. Come hear firsthand how Philip creates his stunning works with this challenging method. When you see his works, you'll understand why he has exhibited in Schmidt-Bingham Gallery (New York), Lisa Kurtz Gallery (Memphis),  McIntosh Gallery (Atlanta) and others. FFAW hours are 4:30-8p.

Topeka High (10th & Western): Stop by Topeka High this Month to view this semester's talented artist's first showing! We will have work on display that show a variety of media that we teach from Drawing, Photography, Ceramics, Painting, Sculpture & more! Come in on Western Side and head up to the 3rd floor to view our gallery showcasing student work. We will also be showcasing work at Matryoshka Tattoo in NOTO! Two Wolves Studio & Artist Den (114 Sw 8th Street, 2nd Floor): Featured artist Alexander Lancaster works with mixed-media and using an airbrush as his primary tool of choice. His work is recognized for the bright colors and realistic details achieved with a freehand airbrush technique to bring his art to life. Showing his newest creations with a focus on the human body, animals and landscapes painted with a realism form. This art show will have art with nude subjects. FFAW hours are 5:30-10p. NOTO Arts Center’s Morris Gallery (935 N Kansas): In the Morris Art Gallery is the exhibit “Two Ponders: A Collaboration,” a collaboration between poet Dennis Etzel, Jr. and painter Barbara Waterman-Peters. Using Gage Park's pond by the Reinisch Rose Garden, Waterman-Peters and Etzel discovered that time is a triptych in their examination of water in the past, present, and future. In the foyer is a sampling of work by NOTO Featured Artist Jennifer Bohlander; and in the community room the exhibit “Springtime in NOTO” featuring the works of area students submitted for consideration of the spring banners for district light poles. 39 West Gallery (909 N Kansas): Why do we fall in love with art? What drives an artist to create a piece and then never want to let it go? Join us as we take you on journey inside the heart and minds  of artists as they share with us their most favorite piece still in their collection and why. SOHO Interiors (3129 SW Huntoon): SOHO Interiors extends a warm invitation to artist Yue Li, of Sichuan Provence, China. Yue Li was given the Artist of 2018 Oil Painting National Exhibition Award. Yue Li is presently a student of painting and drawing at Washburn University. You will want to come this Friday, March 1, from 5-8p to meet Yue Li.
