2018 WAS AN AMAZING YEAR - and 2019 will be spectacular with the Brown v. Board Mural Project completed, First Friday Artwalk going strong, GRANTS, CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS AND MORE. We need your donations to make these projects possible and hope that you will consider supporting ARTSCOnnect!

During the ARTSConnect First Friday Artwalk, we find our city filled with art, friends and exciting special events. Every month is different - and every business is different, so please check our Gallery Features page for information each month and then join thousands of people in this fantastic monthly event! This mural is located across the street from the Brown v. Board National Historic Site. The mural explores themes of equality and justice through the eyes of young people in our community. Artist Michael Toombs directed the painting of the 130' x 30' wall along with a team of artists and thousands of members of the community. We believe that there could not be a better time to push forward the central tenets of the Brown case – bringing this important part of American history to life anew.

Funded by the City of Topeka and administered by ARTSConnect, the 2016-2018 TopArts Grants Programs were an incredible success - and now we will soon be ready to accept applications for the 2019 program. Grants will be available in two categories – public arts & arts access. We anticipate that grants applications will be due in mid-December.

Thank you for joining ARTSConnect in honoring the best and the brightest of the arts in Topeka with a pre-Halloween pop art extravaganza. It was an amazing evening and the Jayhawk Theatre was the perfect setting to honor the artists who make our lives shine so brightly!
